Choosing a therapist is a big decision. You will need to feel comfortable and trusting of that person no matter how long or short your journey is , with that in mind let me tell you a little bit about me.
I am fully qualified in psychotherapeutic counselling and hypnotherapy and passed with distinction.
I hold a full enhanced D.B.S certificate.
I am a member of the Counselling society and National Hypnotherapy Society and abide by their code of ethics in my work. I I use an integrative approach with the therapy room meaning I can bring skills and expertise from disciplines such as cognitive behavioural therapy, transactional analysis and person-centred counselling where it may be appropriate. This helps to get the most out of the sessions in different ways such as examining irrational thoughts, considering the dynamics within relationships and drawing out and understanding the root cause of a given issue.
I work with a well known mental heath charity twice a week in Norwich although my practice is in Cromer.
I have a long history of working closely with people from different walks of life and find my passion in helping them understand themselves. Any therapy will be centred around your own personal needs.
I have a very relaxing private therapy room attached to my house. My house is located down a private driveway on a large plot, with several car parking spaces available. If you prefer not to drive, it is a short walk from Cromer town centre.
Will anyone else be privy to my conversations ?
Once a month I will talk to my supervisor (a legal requirement) but no details that would be an infringement of your privacy will be discussed.
